About Shropshire Firewood
Locally sourced firewood, managed from woodland to delivery by our family team.
From our woodland work to your fireplace
We have been established as a successful countryside management and forestry contracting business based near Tern, Shropshire for over 25 years and also Hales, Staffordshire, providing our services all over the West Midlands.
It is only in the last 10 to 15 years with the rising popularity of wood fuels and sustainable energy that we have seen a large growth in demand for products which are a direct by-product of the conservation projects that we regularly undertake as part of our countryside, woodland and forestry management works.
As a solely family run business we take great care in providing a quality product with reliable customer service. Each and every log has complete traceability from when the tree is felled all the way to final delivery to the customer.
As your local firewood dealer we are uniquely placed in being able to offer a genuinely locally sourced, high quality product of known traceability: from the felling of the tree through to delivery of the highest quality seasoned logs to our many happy customers - both old and new. All of our wood is felled by ourselves locally, then processed locally, dried & seasoned locally and then delivered locally by ourselves: what could be more environmentally sustainable?
Recently we have received approval from the Staffordshire LEADER Programme supporting our Forestry Excavator Harvester Project, providing us with funding from the European Agricultural Fund for Rural Development. The grant has given us the ability to invest in specialised machinery capable of improving and expanding the way we operate and thereby improving the service we can offer to our customers.

OUR COMMITMENT
Environmental Sustainability
As well as being environmentally friendly due to offering a virtually carbon neutral energy source, burning our firewood also benefits nature conservation through the planned and sustainable management of the nature reserves from which much of our timber is obtained.
Burning environmentally & sustainably sourced renewable wood fuels can also help in reducing the overall reliance on fossil fuels to heat our homes.

Fantastic service from Steve and Jemima at Shropshire Firewood. Easy to order, well priced and brilliant delivery service (we're in Much Wenlock). Steve even explained about the drying process of the wood and how to burn the wood efficiently. Will definitely order from these guys again.
