FAQs

  • We're a small, dedicated family run business with limited staff members. As there are only a few of us, we don't automatically accept every order as we like to make sure we can fulfil it properly first.

Selling direct means we can give each order our full attention from helping you choose the perfect wood for your needs to delivering right to your log store and not just curbside, adding that personal touch we are known for. We enjoy getting to know our customers, hearing about how they use their logs and making sure your fire burns just the way you want it too.

For us, it's not just about selling firewood, it's about keeping you warm and building connections, one delivery at a time.

Send us a quick informal text, call, email or WhatsApp message and we will get back to you as soon as we are out of the woods!

We pride ourselves on delivering every log, stick and chip ourselves. We aim to provide a personalised, tailored service right to your log store, rather than completing your order at your curbside.

We are not a middleman drop shipping company using generic pallet network. We are a dedicated, rural family run business providing a service for our local region.

  • Yes! We care about reducing our environmental impact, so we aim to make deliveries with a full van. If you place a larger order or team up with a local friend, we're happy to offer flexible or negotiable delivery costs.

  • Unfortunatley, we dont currently provide a stacking service with your order. However, we understand some of our customers may need a little extra hand with their logs.

We are happy to provide OAPs or blue badge holders a stacking service for a small fee.

Feel free to enquire about our availability when placing your order.

  • It depends on how you plan to use your firewood!

Hardwood (e.g. oak, ash and beech) burns hotter, longer and produces steady, consistent heat. This makes it ideal for keeping your home warm through cold nights or for longer periods.

Hardwoods generally come from slower growing, tighter grain, broad leaved trees. This provides you with a higher mass, resulting in greater energy content per log.

Softwood (e.g. pine, spruce and fir) lights quickly, is a cheaper fuel source and is great for starting fires and bringing rooms upto temperature.

Softwood is usually crop grown in the UK, thus making it a reliably sustainable fuel.

So if you want maximum heat and fewer reloads, go for hardwood. If you're after easy lighting and lower cost, softwood might suit you better.
